For those that do not know me, my name is Anne. I am a registered massage therapist with over fifteen years of experience in the healthcare world. Throughout my journey, I’ve come to one simple yet profound realization: we can all do more to prioritize our self-care and effectively manage pain. Whether you're dealing with muscle tension, lymphatic congestion or soft tissue concerns, the right therapies can truly transform how you feel.

My practice includes a variety of therapeutic modalities, with a special focus on Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), women’s health, and aromatherapy. MLD is an incredibly effective technique for addressing concerns like swelling, edema, brain fog, and digestive/reproductive issues. I also work with women to support their unique health needs, from menstrual discomfort and reproductive pain symptoms to cosmetic enhancement/reconstruction/explant recovery . Aromatherapy is also a restorative part of my practice, offering a gentle, sensory experience that complements the therapeutic benefits of massage, helping to reduce stress and promote relaxation.

I take a holistic approach to healing, and I believe my work can complement the treatments you may already be receiving from other healthcare providers - such as osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists, and movement specialists. Rather than specializing in just one modality, I take pride in being a generalist. I offer a broad, integrative approach to therapy, blending the best of both Eastern and Western techniques to meet your individual needs. This ongoing learning allows me to stay flexible and adapt to the unique challenges each client brings.

In my approach to massage, I focus on a slower, more mindful touch, encouraging deep relaxation and supporting your body’s natural healing process. My treatments are gentle and rhythmic, activating your parasympathetic nervous system to help your muscles release tension gradually and effectively. This approach not only promotes long-term muscle health but also reduces stress, enhances circulation, and restores balance. Though it may not feel like a traditional deep-tissue massage, my techniques engage the body from the most superficial layers down to the deeper structures, providing profound therapeutic benefits without the intensity of deep pressure. [Please note that while I don’t offer conventional deep-tissue treatments myself, I do have trusted and amazing colleagues who specialize in this area and I am happy to refer you.]

So, my mission is clear: to help you discover your body's unique strengths and challenges, educate you in self-care practices, and provide relief from muscle and soft tissue tension through manual therapies, lymphatic drainage, women’s health treatments, and aromatherapy. I’m here to support you on your healing journey, guiding you toward better health and well-being in a gentle, holistic way.

Currently Accepting New MLD, Women's Health & Aromatherapy Clients

Thank you for your interest in joining this practice! At this time, I am not accepting new clients for traditional massage therapy but am happy to welcome new clients for Manual Lymphatic Drainage (including women's health/gut health) and Aromatherapy treatments. If you are interested in either of these services, please reach out online to schedule your appointment.

I am maintaining a waitlist for traditional (registered) massage therapy clients and will notify you as soon as space becomes available.

Where to find me

I am so excited to share my massage practice with the community from my beautiful heritage-home flat in Wortley Village.

I offer online booking for your convenience, can direct bill for most insurance plans or offer contactless payment if that is more convenient for you. All of my services fall under the scope of practice of a Registered Massage Therapist, and are billed in this way for tax and insurance receipt purposes. My online system allows you to book an appointment, fill out any forms online (securely encrypted), sends SMS or email reminders of your appointments, and even gives you the option to put yourself on a waiting list if you like!

Meet Maisii, Clinic Greeter & Zen Keeper (in training)

I am excited to share with you that the clinic has welcomed a new therapy dog, Maisii to the space! She is still a pup (born late November 2024), is hypoallergenic, non-shedding and is a Miniature Schnauzer-Poodle mix (Schnoodle). Maisee has already begun and joins us in the treatment room as part of her training. She has her own cozy enclosure while she gets used to the flow and rhythm of the clinic.

For those of you who remember Sophii, you’ll know the calm and positive energy she brought to the practice. Maisii has big paw prints to fill, but I am confident she’ll make a wonderful addition to the space.

If you’d prefer not to share your treatment time with Maisii, I can understand and respect that decision. Please let me know, and I’d be happy to refer you to another RMT (I know some great ones!) to ensure your wellness plan continues without disruption.

I’m excited to continue the tradition of having a therapy dog in the clinic, honouring Sophii’s legacy, and bringing Maisii into this holistic care environment. I look forward to introducing you to her soon!

SOPHII: Therapy Dog + Service Dog

It is with great sadness that I share the news of my sweet and ridiculous little girl, who went home this January. She was the best door greeter and zen keeper a clinic could ever ask for. I know she touched many hearts and brought many smiles to our clients over the past 14 years.

I am so grateful for our time together and all that she gave me and all those around her. Her little light will be immensely missed.
