Anne Käärid, Registered Massage Therapist, Educator, Mentor

Hello!  My name is Anne.

I truly love what I do!

It’s a privilege to help patients and fellow professionals understand the body, improve health, and move past challenges that can limit well-being. My work is rooted in care, curiosity, and the belief that with the right knowledge and support, we can all do better ~ and feel better.

I’ve spent nearly two decades practicing manual therapies and mid-career returned to school to become a Registered Massage Therapist. This gave me a deeper understanding of the profession from both hands-on and systems perspectives. I’ve practiced in private and public settings in Owen Sound, Almonte/Ottawa, and now Wortley Village (London), Ontario. Attending, and sometimes speaking at local or national conferences keeps my practice informed and fresh.

I’m particularly passionate about lymphatic health and collaborative care. My clinical focus includes manual lymphatic drainage, post-surgical care, abdominal and pelvic massage, and integrating aromatherapy to enhance the healing experience. Guiding patients to understand their bodies, connect with self-care, and feel empowered in their health is at the heart of my work.

"True healing begins
when the body is gently guided back
to its natural balance ~
where it remembers
its own strength, wisdom,
and ability to thrive."

Education & Mentorship

Education and mentorship are central to my mission. I have taught continuing education programs to both public and for RMTs, sharing knowledge and supporting professional growth. This led me to create The EluVett Method, a specialized training program in manual lymphatic drainage designed specifically for RMTs. It bridges foundational massage school training with more advanced traditional programs like those offered by the Vodder School. The program is practical, accessible, and research-informed, helping therapists confidently support patients with oedema, post-surgical inflammation, and general wellness goals. I offer classes in London and travel to bring workshops to clinics and professional groups. I am currently developing new courses, and offerings for online learning.

Administrative and Leadership Experience

Alongside my clinical work, I bring over 20 years of experience in leadership and administrative roles within not-for-profit organizations in healthcare, the arts, and heritage. I’ve worked remotely and as a one-person office, managing operations, finances, marketing & communications, and compliance. I’ve also served as a Board member and Board Secretary at various organizations, giving me a strong understanding of governance, policy development, and effective Board support.

Mentoring emerging professionals, writing articles for professional publications, and speaking at conferences, meetings, and in public schools and colleges are all things I love to do. These experiences fuel my passion for collaboration, advocacy, and helping others grow within the profession.
Passion for Collaboration and Professional Growth

I’m a self-professed anatomy and physiology nerd, always curious and eager to explore the human body. Sharing that passion through workshops, talks, and self-care sessions is one of my favourite parts of the work. Inter-professional collaboration drives me, and I’m energized by opportunities to raise public awareness, strengthen professional networks, and empower therapists through education. Seeing people inspired to care for themselves with curiosity and confidence is what makes this work so rewarding.

It’s incredibly fulfilling to help people and professionals alike discover just how capable, resilient, and empowered their bodies ~ and minds ~ can be.
