Raindrop Aromatherapy Method

I invite you to experience the benefits of the Raindrop oils while relaxing in a comfortable, nurturing and stress-free environment.

We all carry viruses and bacteria which deplete our immune system.  The purpose of the Raindrop Method is to stimulate every organ, boost the immune system, bring the body into balance and enable the body to release toxins wherever they may be lodged.

During this clinical aromatherapy treatment, natural oils are absorbed, creating within the body an environment less hospitable to bacteria, viruses, or other unwelcome micro-organisms. It is a highly effective and non-invasive therapy for boosting the immune system, and in fighting bacterial and viral infections.

This is not a deep tissue treatment, but the affects are a deeply relaxing yet rejuvenating experience.
Full body, 60 minute massage

What is the Raindrop Method?

Using the theory of Young's raindrop technique and combining the aromatherapy with thermal therapy and Swedish, Lomi-Lomi and Tui Na massage applications, Anne has developed a wonderful blend of clinical aromatherapy with a deeply relaxing massage experience and treatment referred to as the Raindrop  (Aromatherapy) Method.

During this treatment you will experience a deeply relaxing massage to the full body; from head to toe and back again! In the course of the massage, essential oils are dropped from about 6 inches from the spine, simulating raindrops. The effect of rain dropping gently on your spine, brings comfort and relaxation (and is the reason for the name of the technique). These oils are also applied to the spine reflexes in your feet and hands. Thermal therapy via hot clothes are placed along your spine, and wrap your feet to open the pores of your skin and to aid in the absorption of the healing oils.

Wonderfully soothing, nurturing and relaxing, this therapy can work its benefits in the body for days to weeks after the application.

This is a 60 minute treatment.

* There is an anecdotal theory that chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia are caused by a virus or bacteria that lies dormant within the central nervous system.  Aromatherapy's anti-microbial essential oils are used to kill the bacteria or virus and assist in beginning a process of healing.

History

The Raindrop technique was developed by Dr. Gary Young in the 1980s. He combined aromatherapy, vita flex technique (reflexes) and feather stroking to bring balance and support body systems on a physical and emotional level. This technique involves applying therapeutic grade essential oils and alternative manual techniques.

Note from Anne: Although the technique itself does not have clinical evidence to support it, the essential oils used have had many studies conducted for their use and efficacy.
