Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, (the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints) for the purpose of optimizing health and wellness.
If you’ve had a massage before, you may find Anne’s approach a little different. She blends a variety of modalities into her treatments to offer the body a tailored treatment toward self-healing. Anne offers treatments that focus on pain relief for several conditions, or simply a massage for rest and relaxation.
Whether you are suffering from a specific condition, or just soreness from daily life, a unique treatment plan will be developed for you. Anne also works with pelvic floor physiotherapists to offer pelvic floor massage therapy. The two therapies are complementary to providing the client a well-rounded treatment plan.
Massage therapy sessions may focus on some of these common conditions:
neck pain and stress
chronic low back and hip pain
abdominal and digestive discomfort
pelvic floor balancing
shooting pain/ numbness down leg (sciatic/piriformis)
