Holistic Healing for Pets: aromatherapy services Coming to Wortley later this year!

I’m so excited to offer a new service that focuses on the health and well-being of our beloved pets with natural essential oils - Companion Animal Aromatherapy.

As a passionate caregiver to both people and animals, I truly understand the deep bond we share with our furry, feathered, and hooved companions. Their well-being is just as important as our own.

I truly believe in the power of natural healing, and I’m thrilled to help support their healing journey.

What is Companion Animal Aromatherapy?

Companion Animal Aromatherapy is a holistic therapy that uses the natural power of essential oils to support the health and well-being of animals. Just like humans, animals can benefit from the calming, soothing, and healing properties of plant-based essential oils.

This therapy involves carefully selecting and applying pet-safe essential oils to address specific physical, emotional, and behavioural needs. Whether it’s easing anxiety, supporting pain relief, promoting relaxation, or improving skin conditions, companion animal aromatherapy offers a gentle and non-invasive way to enhance your pet’s overall health.

Benefits of Animal Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a gentle, natural therapy that harnesses the power of essential oils to promote relaxation, emotional balance, and physical healing.

It’s an effective and holistic way to help your pet with a variety of issues, such as:

Anxiety and Stress: Whether your pet struggles with separation anxiety, thunderstorms, or car rides, aromatherapy can help calm their nerves and create a sense of peace.

Pain Relief: For pets dealing with chronic pain, injuries, or discomfort, specific essential oils can provide relief and support the healing process.

Behavioral Issues: Aromatherapy can help soothe behavioral issues by promoting a more relaxed and balanced state of mind.

Skin Conditions: Certain oils have natural healing properties that can support skin health, reduce itching, and promote healing from irritations.

Digestive Support: Aromatherapy can help with nausea, upset stomachs, and digestive discomfort.

Overall Wellness: Essential oils can also support your pet’s immune system and promote overall vitality and longevity.
Whether your pet is recovering from surgery, managing stress, or simply in need of some relaxation, I’m here to offer gentle, loving care.
During a treatment, I will work together with you and your pet to create a tailored plan to meet their unique needs. Using only high-quality, pet-safe essential oils, we will be able to create a calm, healing experience for your pet, helping them feel more comfortable and at ease.

Not recommended for every pet

While companion animal aromatherapy can be incredibly beneficial for many pets, there are certain conditions where treatment is not recommended. These include:
  1. Pregnant or Nursing Animals: Some essential oils can affect hormones or cause other complications, so it’s important to avoid aromatherapy for pregnant or nursing pets unless advised by a veterinarian.
  2. Young Puppies/Kittens or Elderly Animals with Fragile Health: Very young or elderly pets may have sensitive systems that require extra care. Aromatherapy should be used with caution and only as recommended for their age and condition.
  3. Severe Behavioral Disorders: While aromatherapy can support relaxation, it should not be used as a substitute for professional behavioral training in cases of aggressive or severely disruptive behavior.
  4. Severe or Acute Medical Conditions: If your pet is dealing with a serious or life-threatening condition, aromatherapy should not be used as a primary treatment without guidance from your veterinarian.

NOTEWORTHY
: As always, it’s important to consult with your veterinarian before beginning any new treatment, especially if your pet is currently undergoing medical care.

What brought me to this?

Natural healing and pet aromatherapy have been a part of my journey for many years, deeply influenced by my beloved dog, Sophii. Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked with Sophii using natural methods like whole foods, homemade treats, and even creating our own barkery business, all while integrating aromatherapy into her daily life. Watching her thrive was nothing short of magical. As a small dog, she had all her teeth - white and strong - and she never had any serious illnesses, and she remained happy, balanced, and super ‘chill’ right up to her final act. Her health and well-being were always supported by the holistic practices I embraced, and she lived her life with a calm energy that made everyone who met her feel at ease. She was loved by many and had a healing presence that soothed people wherever she went.

I miss that connection and the joy of sharing oils and a healthy, natural lifestyle with a pet. After losing Sophii, I felt that piece of my life was missing. But with the arrival of my little Maisii into the family, the spark has been reignited, and I’m filled with excitement and enthusiasm once again. Seeing her thrive in the same healthy environment that worked so well for Sophii has inspired me to share this beautiful work with our community.

With a background in massage and aromatherapy, I’m currently upgrading my certification to include companion animal aromatherapy. I am thrilled to bring this knowledge to our amazing pet-supportive community in Wortley Village and London at large. My hope is to offer the same healing benefits I saw in Sophii’s life - supporting pets and their families in a way that honours their natural vitality. I look forward to working with you and your pets, exploring options that nurture both their bodies and spirits, and continuing to build our community that values wellness and love for our animal companions.

Coming to Wortley Village soon!

I’m so excited to bring this new service to our wonderful pet community here in Wortley Village. I’m here to support you and your pets every step of the way—let’s connect and see how I can help!
