As an educator Anne enjoys tutoring massage students, guest speaking and facilitating health and wellness workshops. Anne is most recently developing online courses and eBooks on health and wellness. |
Outside of work, Anne enjoys staying active in her church, engaging in mentoring, taking in local arts and music, and spending time with her family.
“As the daughter of Estonian immigrant parents, plant-based remedies and traditional healing was an innate part of my culture and family life growing up. As a Christian practitioner, I am grateful to be working in a healing ministry under God’s tutelage, using His 'pharmacy '(plants, herbs, and our own body's sense of balance). Through His example (Jeremiah 30:17), I too strive to restore health and promote healing in the people that come to my practice. To honour God by taking care of our bodies, (1 Corinthians 6:20,) I seek out opportunities to share wellness education and understanding through workshops, treatments and one-on-one education. Through prayerful treatments, I feel privileged to be guided by God to use my hands, my knowledge and compassion in enabling people toward better health and wellness. “…they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” (Mark 16:18)”
Anne raised her two sons in Grey County where they were involved in the region through their church, the arts, music and heritage as well as the health care community in both volunteer and professional capacities. As a family they enjoyed the natural beauty of the landscape of Grey and Bruce counties.
All three have now graduated from post-secondary education and are forging new paths to serve their communities. Anne's eldest is a Christian high school arts and resource teacher. He lives in Ottawa together with his wife and young family. Her youngest works as a professional musician in two touring bands. His home base is in London with his wife and dogs, where he has found his musical community. |
